Night of Worship

night-of-worship001

Sunday March 29th there will be no morning services at Anthem Church. Instead we will have Night of Worship which starts at 6:30PM.

Night of Worship is an environment that we have created as a place where the people of Anthem together can encounter the living God in an intimate way.  At Night of Worship we will explore some things that we would not normally do on a sunday morning.  Communion, Corporate prayer, extended times of worship are just examples of the kinds of things you may experience at Night of Worship. You never know what it might be like, but we can promise you this, no matter where you are in your journey with Jesus, you will be glad you came.

Sunday March 29th @ 6:30PM

Child care is not provided, but please being your children with you if you like. This will be a family friendly environment.

Johnnyswim & How To Be Rich

htbr-blog0021

First things first. This Sunday daylight savings time begins. So don’t forget to move your clock 1 hour ahead saturday night or you will miss out on all the great stuff happening @ Anthem this Sunday!!

Nashville recording artist Johnnyswim returns to lead us in worship, and we are launching our new series, ”How to Be Rich”.  Don’t judge a book by its cover, this is a series that will challenge you in ways you have never been challenged before.  Check out the summary below to find out what this series is all about.

Most of us spend our entire lives trying to get rich, and yet we never stop to consider how to be rich. Enticed by our culture, we focus so much on achieving an ever-increasing standard of living that we never realize when, in fact, we become rich. Because the reality is that if you have more than enough–including food in the pantry, money in a savings account, or clothes in your closet–then you are rich. In this four-part series, Andy Stanley explores a passage of Scripture written specifically to the rich, in order to help us learn how to be rich.

InsideOut launches this Sunday

iologoThis Sunday is going to be a great day to check out Anthem Church.  For one, it’s the final part to our current message series “Dealing With Doubt”. The message this past Sunday was incredible. We learned that the issue is not the fact that we have doubts, because EVERYONE has them, but rather how we deal with them that makes the difference.  This coming Sunday looks to be even better as we take a look at the crazy story of Jesus’s cousin John.  Grab a friend and come on by. Rudy Vaugn will be returning to lead us in worship too.

ALSO, this Sunday is one to not miss because it’s the launch of our middle and high school environment called InsideOut.  This week the finishing touches are begin put on the newly renovated Student Center for the big day.  If you have a student or know of one, why not invite them to come and check it out.

Students will start off the morning in the adult service, then after the worship portion will head over to the Student Center.  For more information shoot us an email at info@anthemchurch.com

Anthem Makes The News

sun-article001cropTwo weekends ago Anthem Church made the religious section of The Gainesville Sun. Sarah Halstead, who wrote and interviewed Chad Clemons for the article , is a student at the University of Florida and new friend to Anthem Church.  If you look hard you may find her in a seat on Sunday morning.   Thanks Sarah for a well written article and for helping to spread the word about this movement of God we call Anthem.  Click on the image to the left  to see a larger version that you can read. My favorite quote from the article was given by Amy Jo Coffey, “It’s not your grandmother’s church.” (We could not find the article online so we scanned it. I apologize for the quality)

Also, if you were at Anthem this past Sunday you experienced an incredible time of worship with Stephen Cope who lead us in worship. He has a blog and shared some thoughts from his experience this past Sunday. Check that out by clicking here, or clicking on “stephen cope” on the side bar to the right.

This past Sunday we launched a new series at Anthem called “Why Worry” and it was incredible!! If you missed it you can watch the entire message for free on our website  anthemchurch.com.  Just click on the word “Message” at the bottom. (or click here.)  In addition to this we had some awesome time of worship led by Jeremiah Bowser from Jacksonville.  It was a great morning!

These days there are plenty of reasons to worry so stop on by this Sunday to catch part 2 of “Why Worry”.

“Why Worry” – a new message series

why-worry-web-cg0021When life results in situations we have not intended, our natural tendency is to worry. Among other things, we worry about our finances, our relationships, and our health. Yet, does worrying add a single hour to our lives? The reality is the stress created by our anxiety may have actually taken a year or so off our life expectancies.

There are numerous books written about worrying and stress-free living. Interestingly, many of the insights suggested by modern authors come directly from the pages of Scripture. In this series we will explore the issue of worry, and ask ourselves. . . . why?

January 25th – February 8th.  Don’t miss it!
